SUPER MARIO BROS. MOVIE Trailer Brings Rainbow Road to the Big Screen

We are all one day sooner to The Super Mario Bros. Movie being unleashed upon the world, and the anticipation remains high. Especially with those of us who grew up playing the Nintendo game day in and day out as kids. Folks remain excited despite some skepticism over Chris Pratt’s very off-brand voice as Mario. The long-awaited animated film hits theaters on April 5, and now we finally have another look. Take a look at the latest Super Mario Bros. Trailer below.

That first Super Mario Bros. trailer had a heavy focus on Bowser/King Koops being a big old jerk and some very angry penguins leading a royal revolt. Meanwhile, Mario barely said anything at all. But in this new one, we see Mario a lot more, along with Princess Peach and, of course, more of the evil Bowser. There’s also a ton of Mario Kart fun for us to experience. It’s fascinating to see how the game was transcribed into its movie form. Rainbow Road, of course, is still a major obstacle. But it’s good to know some things don’t change.

For even more fun, you can check out one of the other Super Mario Bros. Movie trailer that’s been released.

You get to hear Anya Taylor-Joy lead her Toads in this one, and she sounds perfect. There’s also even more Nintendo fun. We see multiple Nintendo games represented in the Super Mario Bros. trailer, including Mario 1 and 3, Mario Kart, Luigi’s Mansion, and Donkey Kong (the character even gets a new design for the film). And that’s a delight for fans.

Bringing everyone together is the movie’s official poster.
